National Leadership Seminar held at Kohima
By Sundar Singh Sangma

The National leadership seminar held at Kohima from 1-11 October 2005 was the vision of the Haggai Institute Alumni Association, Nagaland. The seminar held on the mountaintop of Zubza in Kohima with breathtaking surroundings added an extra charm to the entire event. We praise God for such a wonderful place and logistics provided by the host alumni association to make the seminar a success. The teamwork by the alumni of Dimapur & Kohima was laudable.

Thirteen HI faculty of international & national reputation taught in the seminar. The curriculum and the faculty were as follows- 1. Biblical Basis for Missions & Evangelism (BBME): Rev.Susanta Patra, 2. Christian leadership: Paul Balasundaram, 3. Effective Communications: Sam Rufus, 4. The Leader and Stewardship: Dr. Sedevi Angami, 5. Biblical Contemporary Methods of Evangelism: Joshua G. Pradhan, 6. The Leader and Integrity: Valentine Davidar, 7. Reaching Muslims: Rev. Syed Daniel Mazhar Shayan, 8. Youth Evangelism: Menuo Keditsu, 9. Christian Leaders’ Home: Pearly Syiem Marak. 10. A-V Tools for Evangelism: Bijoy Sangma, 11. Social Concerns: Dr. Joyce Angami, 12. Personal Evangelism & Blessing Hindus: M.T Meshram & 13. Life Mission & Goal Setting: Sundar Singh Sangma

The Resident Coordinator Menuo Keditsu and the seminar management team comprising three efficient managers Suzan Waten, Rumatho & Dr. Sedevi’s services in making the seminar an all round success was significant.

The 23 participants were tremendously blessed and impacted by the sessions. The sessions on Mission & Evangelism motivated the participants to get involved in evangelism more meaningfully. Evangelism among Islam, Hindus and Youth were a discovery for many. Most of the participants have returned home with a renewed vision and goal for evangelism. The sessions on Communication, Leadership, Goal setting & Mission Statement, Integrity, AV, Social Concerns, Christian Home and Stewardship greatly challenged the participants to be effective & committed Christian leaders and give leadership in the churches and society with a great sense of accountability.

Some of the outstanding comments given by the participants are recorded below-
