Unique Profile of Participants:
The seminar was unique with 18 Catholic nuns and 10 lay leaders.
The nuns belonging to “Handmaids of Mary” are
working in Orissa since 1944 and catering to the need of people
in the field of education, medical and socio-developmental
activities.
Our Regional Director of the Eastern Region Mr. Binoy Kumara
Muduli challenged the participants by giving an exposition
on Apostle Peter’s transition in life – “Being
a fisherman to a fishers of men”. The Director of Fr.
Utkal Jyoti, Fr.Bijoy thanked everybody and also expressed
his happiness for holding the seminar in his Convent. Each
participant along with the certificate was presented a gift.
Mr.Pravakar Pattnaik conducted the dedication ceremony leading
each participant to hold hands and re-commit. Presenting the
life story of Mr. Francis he challenged everybody on the cost
of leadership. This was quite moving.
Ambiance:
The seminar was arranged in a professional manner with good
ambiance. All the sessions were taught through latest hi tech
teaching aids. Ambience is a factor which makes a difference
in seminar.
The blessings:
Sister Cyrilla, Educationist:
“What influenced me very much
is the personal conviction, faith and the experience of the
Faculty. That was very enriching to me. I was more clarified
on stewardship and integrity – not compromising in any
area of life and keeping the vision of Christ focused and
move forward in carrying out the mission entrusted to us.”
Sister Vineeta, Missionary:
“ I was impressed with the testimony
of Faculty. Stewardship and Discipleship – the concepts
of “relational” and “positional” was
a new teaching to me. Goal Setting and Mission Statement were
very clear to me. Biblical Mandate of taking the Gospel to
people touched me very much. I am very grateful to all of
you especially the testimonies built my faith very much.”
Sister Leelamma, Teacher:
“But in this seminar the teachings
were made so challenging and applicable to me. All Faculty
– their life experiences were enriching and gave me
a big push. Setting goals was so clear to me to know where
I am now and where should I go. I felt myself like that beggar
sitting on treasure and still begging. Mr.Kati’s challenge
to read the whole Bible challenged me.”
